Home & Garden Classes

A variety of home and garden classes will be offered Linn-Benton Community College’s Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers winter term.

The free"Winter Gardening Series” will help you sharpen your gardening skills. This eight-week series taught by OSU Master Gardeners covers a wide variety of subjects of interest to the home gardener, with a different topic covered each week.

Series meets Thursdays from Noon to 12:50 p.m. beginning Jan. 9. List of topics is available at the LBCC Lebanon Center.

Not your typical gardening class, the "Effortless Gardening Workshop" offers instruction in the easy movements of the Feldenkrais Method of movement using tools and equipment with less pain.

This workshop meets two Saturdays, Jan. 11 and 18, from 9 to 11:20 a.m. at the Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $24. Workshop will also be held in Sweet Home at the Steelhead Fitness Center beginning Feb. 22. Cost is $29.

The 10-week"Knitting/Crocheting Workshop" will meet at the LBCC Lebanon Center Tuesdays from 9 to 10:50 a.m. beginning Jan. 7.

Learn techniques and practice and improve your skills working on your own project. Class is for beginning or accomplished knitters and crocheters. Cost is $58.
