Lebanon Center Holds Free SHIBA Class Medicare A, B, C & D

Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) will hold a free class that covers the basics of Medicare as well as upcoming changes in 2014.

Class is designed to help beneficiaries gain a better understanding of their Medicare benefits and options, and for anyone who will be eligible for Medicare within a few months or is new to Medicare, their spouses and relatives.

This one-day class will meet Thursday, Nov. 7 from 10 to 11:50 a.m. at LBCC’s Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. Reservations required by calling 541-812-0849.

Class is taught by a SHIBA counselor and sponsored by Linn-Benton RSVP. For more information, contact the Lebanon Center at 541-259-5801.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
