LBCC Microbusiness Explore and Prepare Classes

The class Microbusiness Explore will be held through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College beginning Sept. 24.

Explore the possibilities of starting you own business. Topics include how to register your business, how to determine pricing, how to find customers and more. Learn how to refine your business plan and get started.

A free orientation for the class will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, room BC-107, 757 Polk Ave., Corvallis.

The 11-week class will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. beginning Sept. 24. Cost is $349. Some scholarships are available.

In addition, the class Microbusiness Prepare will begin Sept. 18. Get ready to launch your business and learn how to finalize your business plan. Class requires a prerequisite of Microbusiness Explore or instructor approval in order to register.

This nine-week class will meet Wednesdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. Cost is $349. Some scholarships are available.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
