A free seminar “Unraveling the Affordable Health Care Act: What Small Business Owners Need to Know Now” will be held Wednesday, May 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College Albany campus, Forum building room F-104, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.

Presenters Kim Bishop and Lisa Lettenmaier, both licensed Health Benefits Consultants, will explain the new legislation and spell out options for business owners as well as the implications of each choice. Get your questions answered so you can make an informed decision about this new legislation.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
