Classical Egyptian-Style Belly Dance Class

Learn the ancient art of Belly Dance through LBCC Albany Community Education beginning April 3.

Belly Dance Classical Egyptian-Style will give you practice in this romantic, "high-glamour," yet casually powerful, style of belly dance. Routines are set to orchestrated love songs from the Golden Era of Cairo. Emphasis is on personality, fluidity and quality of the move.

Class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. in the LBCC Activities Center, room AC-120, Albany campus, beginning April 3. Cost for this 10-week, non-credit class is $66 with a $3 lab fee.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence. This one-day class meets Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, and Friday, April 15 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave, Corvallis, and Saturday, April 16 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.
