LBCC Holds 33rd Annual Career Exploration/Community Resource Fair

Students and community members seeking career opportunities are invited to attend the 33rd annual Linn Benton Community College Career Exploration and Community Resource Fair.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 in the Activities Center Gym on the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. The event is free and open to the public.

More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. Agencies that assist with employment, training and family needs also will be on hand to inform job seekers about their services, and LBCC will offer workshops to enhance job search skills.

Be prepared to ask questions about careers, distribute your resumes, and complete applications. Dress appropriately if you are a job seeker. LBCC Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
